| Comments: | Hi Pat. In reply to your entry in my Guestbook re the Biennale: Your sentiments mirrored mine exactly when I received an invitation - I was wary.
I asked my local Arts organization for advice. They had not heard of it but after asking around decided it was legitimate. They also advised me that the costs vs reward ( 1 artist among 600) were probably not worth it and the money would be better spent mounting solo exhibitions.
The cost for me alone is prohibitive. With our exchange rates it works out at about $3000 Australian dollars just for the entry, without allowing for transport, air fares, accomodation etc.
So I declined the offer.
If I lived in Europe however I would probably make the effort as the costs would be a lot less and the logistical problems would be so much simpler also.
